Description

Viimase paarikümne aastaga on Terlano valged veinid saavutanud märkimisväärse tuntuse, eriti oma mineraalsuse ja pikaealisuse tõttu. Sellest tulenevalt otsustas veinimeister teha selle väga erilise ja eksklusiivse veini, mis tahab oma täidluse, elegantsi ja vananemispotentsiaaliga olla ühel pulgal maailma parimate valgete veinidega ning mille ultimatiivne eesmärk on läbi nende üksikute pudelite demonstreerida Cantina Terlano maksimaalset võimekust ning valmistada Alto Adige piirkonna parim valge vein.

Grande Cuvée Primo on valmistatud 70% Pinot Bianco, 28% Chardonnay ja 2% Sauvignoni marjadest, mis valitakse kolmest parimast mõisa üksikaiast – Vorberg, Kreuth ning Winkl. Veiniaiad asuvad 300-570 m kõrgusel merepinnast. Saagikus on 35 hl/ha kohta. Laagerdumine toimub suurtes tammevaatides 12 kuud ning pudelis puhkab vein veel aasta. 2018 aastakäiku valmistati vaid 3039 pudelit. Soovitav serveerida 12-14 kraadi juures. Vananemispotentsiaal 10+ aastat.

“The Terlaner Grand Cuvée Primo is all about texture. This beautiful wine bears the unique characteristics of oak and yeast ageing, which give it a delicate creaminess. It has plenty of richness and softness, followed by white wine tannins. Its rich and viscous mouthfeel is a perfect sounding board for lemon curd, caramel cream and the gelatine on a fruit tart.” Wine Advocate 97 points

“The Terlaner Grande Cuvée Primo 2020 presents itself with a delicate blend of dusty stone, freshly spiced pear, white flowers and crushed raw almonds. It is elegance personified, silky yet lively. A hint of hazelnut custard enriches the notes of young peach, while a hint of minerality builds towards the end. The Primo finishes dramatically long yet youthfully tense, leaving a saturation of primary fruit that lingers under a bloom of citrus. The word “wow” doesn’t do this wine justice. The 2020 is still a baby today. Is it Grande Cuvée or Grand Cru? Either way, it’s fantastic.” Antonio Galloni Vinous 96 points
