Cantina Terlano veinivalmistamise traditsioonid ulatuvad tagasi rohkem kui 2000 aastat. Terlano unikaalne asukoht Tschöggeli mäe jalamil on nende veinide omapära peamiseks põhjuseks. Terlano kooperatiiv asutati 1893. aastal, praegu on seal üle 100 liikme.

Vein on valmistatud 100% Sauvignon Blanc’st. Veiniaedade pinnas on graniit-liivane ja kruusane. Veiniaiad on 300-500 meetri kõrgusel merepinnast. Käärimine toimub 60% ulatuses terasmahutites ning 40% ulatuses tammevaatides (500 l). Toimub ka täielik malolaktiline käärimine ning veinivirre on pärmisettel 8 kuud. Värvuselt on vein õlekõrre kollane, roheliste varjunditega. Aroom on kompleksne, tunda on aprikoosi ning puiduseid alatoone. Maitselt on vein kergelt soolakas, mineraalne ning väga pika järelmaitsega. Serveerida temperatuuril 10-12 kraadi. Vananemispotentsiaal 8-10 aastat.

“The word ‘spicy’ doesn’t do the 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Quarz justice, as this goes much deeper than that. Exotic curries, ginger, smoke and tomato leaf can all be found; yet beneath it all, there’s a vivid note of honeydew melon. This is silky- smooth and pliant upon entry, yet it slowly saturates the palate in primary concentration, as pepper-tinged nectarine and lemon extracts resonate throughout. There’s so much youthful tension, power and staining depths within, and also a balancing flourish of sweet inner florals that lasts incredibly long. “The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Quarz is very seductive, with a rich blend of savoury herbs and grapefruit zest underscored by a cooling hint of white smoke. Candied lemon and lime resonate, while hints of salty minerality and chalk dust provide a perfect contrast. Like most Quartz vintages, this wine will age well over the medium term.
