Description
UUS TOODE!
Château Gaudin was acquired in 1901 from Sieur Gaudin and continues to be a family property for 3 generations with 11 hectares. It is located in the Medoc more precisely in Pauillac. This vineyard benefits from a privileged location on the gravelly ridges of the village of Saint-Lambert. Surrounded by prestigious vineyards that include; three 1st growths, two 2nd growths, one 4th growth and twelve 5th growths in this world renown appellation.
One of the few great values from Pauillac, this estate has produced an attractive perfumed wine that expresses both ripe black fruit and great structure. This wine is made from 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot grapes. Grapes are picked and sorted manually with a vatting period of 21 to 30 days. This wine was traditionally aged for 18 months in oak barrels (100% new wood).
Sweet tannins, delicious fruitiness and a lengthy aftertaste. This wine will perfectly accompany flavourful (red or white) meat dishes such as grilled lamb chops, braised shanks and meat stews. Also harmonious with most cheeses and of course, will also easily and gracefully accompany more simpler dishes like pizza and most barbecued foods.
