“The estate wines grow in the younger vineyards around Saulheim. The soils are characterized by limestone sediments and loess-loam layers. The harvest was done by hand with an optimal balance of aroma, acidity and maturity. The picking time is particularly important for Pinot Noir. This mash-fermented, extract-rich Pinot Noir was 100% matured in traditional French oak barrels (225l) over a period of 22 months. It was then bottled unfiltered. This is the reason for its dense, complex structure.” Christoph Thörle
