Johann Baptist Dietrich, the son of a teacher in Rüdesheim, who went to Champagne around 1850 to learn the craft of making champagne. After his return, he and the Wiesbaden wine merchant Max Ewald founded the “Champagne Factory Ewald & Dietrich” in 1858, which until a few years ago was called Rüdesheimer Weinkellerei and was one of the oldest sparkling wine producers in the region. Today it belongs to the traditional company Josef Drathen Wine and Sektkellerei from Zell an der Mosel.

The Riesling sparkling wine extra dry, Johann Baptist Dietrich, made from selected Riesling wines give this sparkling wine its high quality. The Riesling cuvée convinces with its fruity-fresh character and noble, mineral note. The typical Riesling acidity gives the sparkling wine a special liveliness, but is very well integrated so that a well-rounded taste experience guarantees maximum enjoyment.
